SCOSCHE BaseLynx Modular Charging System
We have a lot of devices to charge in our household. Most of them are USB-C these days but we also have a fair number of Lightning Connector devices like iPad and iPods. I was searching for something that allowed me to create my own charging system - and that’s when I discovered the SCOSCHE Modular System.
The SCOSCHE BaseLynx is pretty smart. It’s like legos. Each charging unit has an allowance of 15 points and each block uses a certain amount of points (see below). You can design a pretty big system with just one plug.
These are the base units
Vert Charging Station (5 points) - The Vert has three charging ports: one 18W USB-C Power Delivery, and two 12W USB-A.
Dual Port Charging EndCap (3 points) – with Power Delivery - one 18W USB-C Power Delivery, and one 12W USB-A port
Watch Charger For Apple Watch (1 point)
Wireless Charging Pad (2 points) - Qi-certified wireless Charging Pad
There is a plug unit that can support 15 points each. The plug unit comes with the modules when you order them. The best thing about the Plug Unit is that it’s a regular AC wall plug - there is no DC transformer or wall wart. Yay!
How I am using this
In my kitchen, we have two Vert Charging Station and 4 out of the 6 ports are USB-C and the other is Lightning.
I am using two 1ft Anker USB-C cables for charging on the 18W ports along with these short USB-A to USB-C 10 inch braided cables.
In addition, I am using the Dual Port charing end-cap for other small items that need charging.
In my bedroom, I have a single Vert Charging Station and Wireless Charging Pad with the Dual Port charging end-cap.
This is super tidy and nice.
Oddly the black model can be purchased from Amazon, but the white one can only be purchased from Apple.
