In the past few years, I’ve started to take a battery pack with me on all travels. It’s been indispensable for recharging on the go, airplanes, cars, beaches and everywhere in between.
The best battery pack I’ve used is the Anker PowerCore+ 20100. It has a few features that sets it apart from the competition.
- It has a huge capacity - 20,100mAh. It can charge an iPhone 6 about 8 times. or a MacBook once plus have enough for an iPhone and iPad.
- It’s all metal which gives is a high qualify feel
- It has a very good battery meter telling you how full it is
- It has 2 classic USB ports and a USB-C port
The USB-C port is killer. It outputs 3A which means it can charge a MacBook and also charge an iPad using the USB-C to Lightning Connector.
3A is a fair amount more juice than the 2.4A that traditional USB caps out at. At 5V this means it can supply 15W of power to USB-C devices.
I’ve taken this guy on all our family vacations, photo workshops and work travel. Sometimes I’ll just keep it by my bedside if there is no convenient charger to plug into.
Highly recommended if you are in the market for an external battery.
note: don't need USB-C? Check out the smaller Anker PowerCore+ 13400. Similar industrial design.
Exceptional. A spectacular product.
