Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer
In general, there is always a product out there to replace something you have. I'm always looking for things that change the status quo. In this case, the hair dryer (not even a product I use). Every day I listen to the hair dryer as my wife is using it, and let me tell you... those things are noisy (and ugly). Try and buy a new one. It's a rather miserable set of choices. That's why when Dyson announced they were making a hair dryer long ago, I put this on my research list. A few weeks ago, I aquired a white Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer from Sephora as a gift for Lora, and I have to say, it's an engineering marvel, and a thing of beauty. Rather than tell you what I like about it, I decided to interview Lora.
What's so great about the hair dryer?
Lora: The design is great. I like that the heavy part of the hair dryer (the motor) is in the handle. In most hair dryers this is part of the body which means your write can get sore from holding it.
I like the interchangeable magnetic styling accessories. It's easy to remove them and change how the hair dryer functions.
It also seems to dry my hair faster. It's more gentle as my hair doesn't get as hot and damaged.
It makes a lot less noise than my older hair dryer.
Are there any downsides?
Lora: Yes. It's very expensive and it's not suitable for travel as the cord is quite large.
Would you recommend this to your friends?
Lora: Definitely. It would make a great present. It's the best hair dryer I've ever had.
