Travel Flashlights

For the last few years, I have traveled with a small flashlight. Flashlights come in really handy on airplanes, in hotel rooms, or in homes that you are staying in. Recently I purchased some flashlights for everyone in the family that I place in their charger “Go Bag” which has all the necessities for charging devices like iPhones, Kindles, Apple Watch and AirPods.

Lumintop EDC01

The Lumintop EDC01 is the smallest. It is powered by a single AAA battery. I have batteries that charge using Micro-USB - this way I don’t need to ever purchase any batteries and if they run out - they can easily be charged from the Go Bag kit.

The best thing about this flashlight - despite its diminutive size - is that it comes with a neat diffuser. This diffuser is glow in the dark so that when you turn off the flashlight you still have light!

The flashlight has a few brightness levels, the one I like the best is the moon mode which is just very faint. I use this at night by my bedside on trips and for finding things in my bag on a flight.

A nice feature is that you can remove the keyring clip and it can stand upright on its bottom.

It comes in some nice colors too!. It’s $10 for the black model.

Lumintop Tool AA 2.0

A bit bigger and more powerful than the EDC01 is the Tool AA flashlight. This flashlight is powered by either a AA battery OR a more powerful and long-lasting Lithium 14500 battery.

Like the EDC01 it also has a diffuser but the on/off feature is different (clicky button on the back).

You can get batteries for this unit such as these. A little harder to find for some reason. I can’t remember where I got mine - but look for some 14500 Micro-USB 3.6V batteries. You can also purchase the flashlight with the battery.
